He never thought of himself as abnormal, so he never put much thought into how he never took a sick day. He’s not super strong…his bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, and skin just won’t break under the weight. And he has to actively develop his “psychic powers” over the course of the film…which again, you’re watching a film about a man who survives a train accident in the beginning unharmed (again, not a common occurence) so how realistic are you expecting it to be?
